"That's the trouble with making a decision. You never know if it's right until after you've done it. But it is what adults are supposed to do. Make decisions. And then live with them."

Thick: "So this was our adventure. And the prince and the princess get married and live happily ever after, with many children to warm them in their old age."
Fitz: "Perhaps. Perhaps."
Thick: "What happens to the rest of us?"

Fool: "Do you ever get over it? Did you ever get past it?"
Fitz: "No. You don't. I didn't. You won't. But you do go on. It becomes a part of you, like any scar. You will go on."

"He says that when you let go and follow your fate instead of trying to twist your life around and master it, a man finds that happiness follows him."

A spectacular conclusion to an amazing trilogy. I'm so sad that it's over. I'll miss Fitz as a 30-something-year-old like me. Now I guess it's time to wait for me to turn 50 so that I can read the final trilogy (lol jk). My heart shattered to a million pieces during the course of reading this and was put back together again with permanent scars marring it. I will never forget how amazing this trilogy was!

I do wish that
the Fitz and Molly renewed love story could have gone on longer, perhaps even given it a novella or something.
But in either case, it was a lovely ending that Fitz so definitely deserved!
