At this point, 3 books in, the stories started to blur together (in a good way). They all became a world I was immersed in, not 3 separate books. I knew the character intimately, I hurt when they hurt and were happy when they were happy.
Maas balances all of the characters so well, and although there were surprising moments, not a single action was out of character. (ex: with Tamlins actions I never said “He wouldn’t do that”)
It was so believable.
The majority of this book is tense. It’s about pain and war and death. It’s escaping, spying, and sneaking. It’s about strategizing and prioritizing.
But it’s also about banding together for the greater good. There were many moments in WAR that sparked hope, joy, and Love.
It kept us pushing through to the end.
This book was powerful and would interest any audience. A great ending to Feyres stories.
