The Sandman by E.T.A. Hoffmann

3.0

Not what I was expecting...

The Sandman - an old tale to scare the kids so they go to bed, but for some, prolonged mental scarring.

This is not your typical “horror”, this is the horror of mental health.
Nathaniel swears the Sandman is real, and the line, of what he really experiences, to what are mere hallucinations, begins to blur, and the heater skelter decent begins to leave burn marks that may be healed physically, but never mentally.
