This was a cute small town romance about two people who feel lost in their own lives. Kira bought the old Christmas tree farm to prove that she could survive on her own, while Bennett took time away from his life in California. When they meet, Bennett and Kira are both smitten with each other. But Kira is much more hesitant to admit that. She wants to make it on her own without having a man.
I didn't really feel the chemistry between Kira and Bennett until almost the end of the book. I wasn't quite sure I would end up shipping them, to be honest. Kira thinks that she is the worst human ever because she comes from a rich background and never had to fend for herself. I thought her constantly, saying, "Being a good person isn't as hard as I thought" was rather annoying and made me lose interest in her character.
The steamy scenes were nice, but again, something just fell flat for me with their chemistry. It wasn't fleshed out the way I wanted it to be. It felt flat at times. I think that's more of a me problem than the book. I still plan on checking out the other books in this series! They are adorable (and I already bought them).
