Begin Again: The Brave Practice of Releasing Hurt and Receiving Rest by Leeana Tankersley

4.0

This Book is a treasure. It really spoke to me - perhaps because I feel as though I have been on a similar journey as the author. Tankersley writes with such vulnerability and openness and she writes about the deep places of the soul with such grace and generosity. The subtitle is “The Brave Practice if Releasing Hurt & Receiving Rest.” Much of the book talks about how we hurt ourselves with unreasonable striving and unrealistic expectations. All of which lead to exhaustion. If you are looking for a book to gently push you out of bad habits and unhealthy ways of thinking, this is a great place to start. It requires deep soul work so read it slowly, cherishing it and letting it sink in. // “Anything or anyone that does not bring you alive is too small for you.”-David Whyte // This book brought me life. I loved her earlier book Breathing Room, too.
