Well ok, we’re in spooky season now! 👻 The dark gothic small town setting and spooky atmosphere in this book were so ideal for this time of year. I really loved the vibes of this one.
This is a very spicy book and I thought the spice was a bit quick to start, but the way the romance built as Remi and Dane got to know one another, they soon won me over. Especially Dane, I am a sucker for a misunderstood outcast with hidden charm.
The mystery/thriller storylines kept me intrigued, even though I did predict both of the big reveals. It didn’t detract from my enjoyment at all. I was just eager to see it all play out.
The perfect start to my spooky season reading, I recommend adding this to your October TBR🎃 Book 2 Monarch is out on October 8 and I’ll definitely be adding it to my priority list!
**Thank you to @hambright_pr and Sophie Lark for providing me with a copy to read and review. All opinions are my own.**
