I really want to emphasise before anything that this is a book about abuse and what it is like to be in a very dangerous and abusive relationship. Please, please, PLEASE be careful when reading and ALWAYS check the trigger warnings. This book contains MAJOR triggering content. If you need help, please know there is always help.

This is a basketball, sort of second chance romance. It brings about conversations of being biracial and never feeling like you belong to either half of yourself. The romance in this book is swoon-worthy. August is a god among men and Iris is one of the strongest FMCs I've ever had the pleasure of reading about. This story shows how important it is to surround yourself with people that have your back and will always love you unconditionally. This is a real and raw story and I know a lot of people won't be able to read it because it is so triggering but I am thankful for Kennedy Ryan creating this brilliance and using her voice. This is one that will evoke so much emotion out of you.
