I had no real expectations about this book. I knew the general story, and the character's names but didn't understand what I was going to read. It's a really good book. The writing is crisp and fun, the characters are jovial and get into all sorts of situations. There's both a unique feel to it in a classic and timeless feel to it. I'm glad I read it and I'm glad that it is something that I hadn't read before, cuz I don't know that I would have appreciated the writing or the swashbuckling nature.
