Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

Ok, so I'm way behind the hype on this book. I had it downloaded from the library years ago and for some reason it just seemed like a book I did not want to read. which was crazy to me because I love the Grishaverse.

Well, when Hell Bent came out, I decided to go ahead and give this a try. OMG I am so glad I did. As much as I've loved Leigh Bardugo's other books, this might be in my top two. I love Alex Stern, and might love Dawes almost as much. They are both strong women and Alex just takes no shit.

Mix those strong female characters with mystery, Grays (ghosts), and murder - it's a winner. I'm so glad I actually bought Ninth House and Hell Bent at the same time so I could immediately start Hell Bent. Ninth House is wrapped up pretty well, so there's not a horrible cliffhanger, but you'll still want to start the next book immediately.

Unfortunately, I gave this book away during our Galentine's Book Party last night, but I already have it as an add on in my Book of the Month box so I can having a matching hard copy for Hell Bent. So, yes, I highly recommend this book!
