This book was just not as delightfully bonkers as the first two books in this series. The author is really good at painting a macabre scene of murder with a flair. It’s just that this book rambled on a lot on redundant thought patterns, and none of these books are good reading for a murder mystery, mostly because the main characters leap to conclusions without any actual related logic. I became frustrated with the shoehorned love triangle. But I can’t quit this series yet, because I already find myself drawn to the premise of the fourth and final book. Hopefully it does better.
