The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger

3.0

The men in this book were a#$%les. Like her boyfriend who refused to empathize with how sucky her life was under this tyrant of a woman. The security guy who would force her to sing everytime she came in just screams sexual harassment. Even her dad, who would disappear to work, or be disappointed, or just not be there. The women I appreciated came in all types, but this book was longer than it should have been. And I'm just so ticked that everyone was depending on her, like without her nothing else is fine, and that was a different kind of dependency. Her best friend fell apart because she was working, her relationship fell apart because she was working, all knowing it was only 1 year out of her life. So everybody besides Andy in this book can suck it, because that kind of sick dependency on one person has led many a woman to her own downfall, with her own feeling of self worth not important until everyone else is okay. This book left me mad I see.
