 neil gaiman is so good at writing books for children that absolutely wreck me, an adult. the illustrations in this edition are stunning and do a great job of enhancing the plot and vibes of the text -- i wouldn't read a version without them.
i am furious that i will never be a child growing up with a family of ghosts having supernatural adventures

until the real world calls and i have to leave the graveyard behind to create my own life.
