It's my first ever book from this author & it nailed the thriller element on the head. I could feel the fear from the characters, the gore, the horror of it all - AMAZING. Some scenes were rather graphic, and there were times when I cringed in horror of it.

I also will not recommend reading this while snacking because I did & I immediately lost my appetite.

It's a fast paged thriller. Definitely a good-for-her vibe, and you're rooting for the main character the whole time. But I will say that at one point there was just too much ramblings about the protagonist's train of thoughts that made it VERY repetitive. I'm sure I skipped quite a bit of pages of that because I get it - YOU'RE SCARED, now move along.

All in all, the ending was satisfying!!!!!! Just what I needed after the traumatic ordeal they went through. Would probably be better if translated into a film.
