When I initially heard of Confessions from a booktuber video, it was sold to me as follows (it's also the synopsis so it isn't a spoiler):
This teacher ends the day with her class like "Hello students! Hey so...I quit my job. So Im not going to be your teacher anymore, you will be getting a new one". And the kids are like "omg, but why? We love you!"
"Yeah I'm going to be leaving. Because I know two of you murdered my daughter. And...I know that you did it." And she points out two of the students like "I know you fucking killed her. So...you'll get your punishment some day."
And that's all it took to hook me in. After reading it, hot damn did I enjoy the hell out of it. It's a very short read, easily can be done in a single sitting, but it was too addicting to put down. It's such a unique thriller in that it starts with the teacher's speech on that day, and then follows different POVs to provide an in-depth look at what was happening behind the scenes. I can see how for some people, it would get tiresome as it essentially recounts the event itself, but personally, I didn't mind it too much.
Also the teacher is ruthless and I love that for her. So if you're looking for a good, quick thriller to read, I highly recommend this one.
