Mary, Queen of Scotland and the Isles, by Stefan Zweig

Did not finish book. Stopped at 45%.
The writing is pretty, but there's too many dated concepts. If you're one of these people who care more about the decorative writing than the plot, you might still enjoy it. But if you feel like you'd get upset by repetitive claims how the 2 queens were weak and illogical and capable of throwing everything to the wind for moment's passion, just because they're women (that did not stop the author from claiming they were the most powerful and the only relevant people at the time), or by
Spoiler romanticising rape
, then I wouldn't recommend.
