I picked up this book, not realising entirely what it was going to be about - I read demons and last females and not much else - and honestly the fault is on me. I thought it would be good to get out of my book reading comfort zone and try something new and although I'm glad I did read it, it has confirmed for me that this type of book is not for me.
The positives are that it's pretty fast paced and has a relatively interesting cast of characters. The writing is fine and it was a pretty quick read, which is nice.
The negatives are the somewhat dull and reptitive sexual scenes, many dubcon at best, and an incredibly abrupt ending which I assume gets picked up in further books but as I won't be reading any more, it was quite a sudden ending to this universe.
If you're into relatively dry sexual scenes with a relatively interesting subplot of female extinction, give this book a try. For me, sadly, it won't be a series I'll be returning to. The two stars are for the ease of reading and Silas. I'll say no more.
