After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid
4.0
This book was definitely a different take on a love story that reaches its breaking point. It made me wonder if this was a method that would actually be feasible in everyday life, and not just in a novel.
Lauren & Ryan decide to take a year off of being married, hoping that they will find the way back to each other. During that one year apart - they have just one rule: no contact with each other. Everything else is anything goes. They both set off on a journey of self-discovery, however, you really only see it from Lauren's point of view. It is a well-written story of one person's journey to find out who she is and what she wants. You find yourself once or twice being disappointed in her, but overall really cheering for Lauren. Cheering for her to find herself and make the decision that is best for her, without the input of others. Definitely worth reading.
