I expected to like this as much as "Thank You For Listening," but was really disappointed. It's well written and I think good for fans of Jojo Moyes (like the description states). I'm just not one of those fans.
I liked the first half of the book, but once the twist came about I knew what was going to happen (and I was right). I felt like there was almost too much going on at times, but not enough explanation of anything. Her campaign work was interesting, but not explained. Her time at Oxford was also interesting, but it's as if she went to a class once and then never again.
I also found myself not caring about any of the characters as the story went on. Ella didn't have much of a personality. Jamie's personality seemed to only be "rich, posh, and" Even the side characters could have been fleshed out more.
Julia's narration, as always, gets 5 stars. She's an amazing narrator and I love listening to her books. Unfortunately, the story itself here was lacking for me.
