When the World Was Ours by Liz Kessler

5.0

Finished the book in tears.

I loved how I got to see three different point of view during the time. One from someone who was in the suffering, one from someone who was helping make the suffering happen, and another from someone who was one of the lucky ones.

The friendship in this story was absolutely beautiful and I wanted to hug each of the children in this story. I am glad to have started such a story on Holocaust Remembrance day and I was able to learn more things about such a tragic time.

I recommend this book to all readers, young and old.
