I'm not sure this book was for me as it was a bit more suspenseful than I normally read but it was still very entertaining. I felt the fear at times that the characters may have felt and felt the angst they felt for one another. I wanted more between our two main characters at times. HOWEVER, this book hooked me enough that I want to read the next book. HA!

When a favorite author recs a book, one must comply. So I picked this up and was immediately pulled in. But then, the two characters got to "the house." And that's when I realized the wimpy me, who no longer enjoys horror movies, doesn't enjoy being scared, yet loves monster and paranormal romance, may not be the right person for this book. AND YET...I could NOT put it down. I needed to know what was going to happen between Quiet, a witch, and Rorick, a vampire, as well as the house which feels like its own character. And the author did not disappoint. There were some twists and turns that I didn't see coming. And by the time I finished, I was hooked and ready for the next installment in the series.
