The Book of Eels: Our Enduring Fascination with the Most Mysterious Creature in the Natural World by Patrik Svensson

4.0

I really really liked this. I never knew eels were so fascinating (at least, the European eel described here). The lifecycle is so complex, and science knows so little!! Even Freud spent his early career researching eels. We’ve still never even seen European eels mate. So wild. I also loved how the author tied in stories of his childhood/life into the science and history of eels. Highly recommend for nerds like me
