This book was given to me free as part of Amazon's "first reads" drive. It's perfectly acceptable, but not the most readable book in the world, because how can anyone stretch "running can help with your mental health" over 200+ pages, when it's only really backed up with personal experiences as supporting proof?

The book is a sort of self-help autobiography by Bella Mackie, who has a number of mental health issues, like OCD, and Generalised Anxiesty. She seems to have had them pretty badly, if half her descriptions are to be believed. She explains how running helped her deal with these issues. Good on her for being able to do that.

My grumble focuses on her descriptions of the mental illnesses. She keeps banging on that anxiety feels a certain way, which makes me feel that I have it (having been told that I've always been anxious, from when I was tiny, and have routines that I know are daft to deal with it). Once set up, she then promptly years that done, by accusing people of been a little too middle-classed if the symptoms aren't as bad as hers.

The result is I wasn't sure what to think of it all by the end,because, in short, it's a self-help book that only wants to help certain extreme issoes.
