This book was so hard to read, but in a good way. It feels like you’re sitting down with Jennette and she’s just talking to you about her life, and I have such profound respect for her for being able to put down everything she went through. Jennette also brilliantly lightens some of the darkness with her inner monologue, which feels like she’s an old friend and we’re laughing about our trauma so we don’t cry. I didn’t realize this book would be so dark when I started it, so I took my time, but I’m so glad I know her story.
