Story of loyalty and academic competition. Led chiefly by a sense of uncertainty and deceit. Felt very personal, and the touches of mystery through academic pursuit mirrored the mysteries in the narrative itself. Ending was striking and unexpected and left me feeling very uncertain as to how I felt about both main characters and their ends.
