La memoria di Babel by Christelle Dabos

I started reading this having expectations set by the knowledge that someone, the person <3 who gifted me the books, considered this to be their least favorite book of the series, and found it somehow boring, dragging. This was NOT the case for me! The setting, Babel, the memorial and the activities were fascinating to me! There are so many grounds for world-building in this series, so much could be explored.
SpoilerI am actually very concerned about “God” having taken the form of Renard and gained access to Arc en Terre… and what about Victoria?? She can’t get back to the Other Victoria!?
I am proud of Ofelia for her determination and strength in enduring what she has. Although it unnerved me a bit that she put up with the abuse of the others without fighting back (not that she could do much in every single situation) or at least acknowledging how unfair and wrong it was.

Also, i am not entirely sure how I feel about how the relationship between Ofelia and Thorn has been handled… it’s weird, they are “weird”, mainly Thorn… I’d say that his character and demeanor are quite unlikable, however for some reason I can understand where he’s coming from and somehow I don’t really dislike him?? and I’d like to see how Ofelia and Thorn’s relationship develops.
