You'll love these brothers, who despite their flaws, all are fiercely loyal to one another and have a tight bond. This book features Gareth. The eldest and final brother to get his story told. He isn't you're average alpha male. He is a star player (and captain) for the Manchester United (England's) football team, yet he isn't a player or womanizer. He isn't cocky or arrogant. He is private and a bit of a loner, though not necessarily anti-social. He is a bit damaged mentally (caused mostly from his mother's death when he was a child,) so he's not perfect, yet he is pretty darn close. Sloane is an American who is new to the country and has her own issues. She's strong, but has no control of her life and feels week and lost. Though she's not damaged per se, she has plenty of 'baggage' in her life that she is trying to deal with. She is hired by Gareth as his stylist and that professional relationship remains just that, until one fateful day. So.... she needs control, and he needs to lose control. Together they are a perfect match. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean they can be a forever couple. This book isn't really a love story. Neither of them are in it for love or a relationship. They are each in it more as a distraction from their every day lives, to help them get out of their heads. Whenever one would do or say something to get close, the other starts to pull away. They are both keeping secrets from the other, in fear of becoming more than what they are supposed to me.

This book was hard to put down. Keeps your attention, and captures your heart. Well written with no added unnecessary filler. It reads easily and the story flows smoothly. It alternates between POVs, and occasionally goes back in time to when Gareth was a young boy. (You'll be hurting for him now and even more so as a child.) The characters are all complex and well rounded and likable, and more importantly, real. You understand their thought process and why they are feeling they way they are. You will definitely be rooting for Sloane and Gareth. Gareth... gahhhh.... he's just so darn swoon-worthy. :) There is some strong language and sexual content, making this a read for mature audiences.

Note: This is a duet and part of a bigger series. Each book in the series can be read as a stand alone, but this book (Book 4) along with Dominate (Book 5) will both need to be read to get the full story. This one is does end with a cliffhanger. Even though they can be read as stand alone's, you get a little bit of insight into their lives and backgrounds with each book, so I would highly suggest reading the series in it's entirety just to get the whole and complete story of the Harris brothers.
