"The darkness took me before the silver could."
The world of Quicksilver is like no other fae series! I thoroughly enjoyed reading Saeris' journey throughout this book. Saeris struggle as a thief in the land of twin suns doesn't stop her from crafting weapons for the rebellion. Her ability to communicate with metals takes on the coolest plot of this story. When I tell you I cackled out loud every time at Carrion's one-liners I mean it; I didn't expect to love this character right to the very end. I was transfixed by Fisher's mannerisms; the wordy fae dealings, the shadow powers, the moving tattoos along with the quicksilver that resides inside him. I cannot get over how well thought out this book is and I couldn't put it down.
