I was so excited for this book. An Aussie author writing about a small Aussie town, heck yeah!

But Josie is unbearably unlikeable. She was just awful to everyone the entire time and not once does she actually seem to care that she’s hurting people. She’s just truly awful the entire time and I cannot understand why Nick, her mum, Sam, and all her old friends were so quick to forgive her when she apparently hurt them so badly she had to leave town. I also wish the book showed that Josie had learnt ANYTHING from her mistakes as a teen but she clearly didn’t.

Harley was a lot more likeable but still not my fave.

I was hoping for a five star read but it was just okay.
