The Last Wicked Scoundrel by Lorraine Heath

2.0

This would have worked far better as a sub-plot of the other four in the series. The story is clearly begun in the first, In Bed with the Devil, and it could have developed nicely through the others. As a stand alone, the story felt rushed and the plot was simplistic. The characters were undeveloped. Beyond his height and angelic, blond hair, the protagonist has a profession but little personality and the longing that Heath creates so well in her other novels is absent here. Neither character is richly developed and it was not a satisfying read.
