Finding Me: A Decade of Darkness, a Life Reclaimed: A Memoir of the Cleveland Kidnappings by Michelle Knight

challenging dark emotional medium-paced
I finished this in a single day. I have a hard time putting a star value on a memoir. I cannot rank someone’s LIFE. Especially one like Michelle’s.

I appreciate her taking the time to share her story of Ariel Castro’s house of horrors. This woman has been through so much even before he kidnapped her. I admire her strength and her will to live and continue fighting.

This book is written in her voice, which it absolutely should be, therefore the writing isn’t very strong. But it is very readable, making it a quick day read. It is HEAVY material. It is hard to read in content. I hope she’s been able to connect with her son after this hell. Michelle has my heart.
