I just love everything Travis Baldree pens down and, I'm not ashamed to admit, I teared up pretty heavily at the end of Bookshops & Bonedust; there was something sentimental about the two timelines overlaying and seeing things come full circle. Baldree's words are just FUN to read - but still hit heavy when they need to.
I had mixed feelings about the romance of this installment - as I wasn't quite sure it was key in the story. The worldbuilding was fantastic and seeing a young Viv grow into another version of herself was enjoyable to read about.
Just like Legends & Lattes, Baldree's magic is in his secondary characters (in my opinion). I adored Fern, Potroast, and the assortment of figures along the way. Thistleburr was the stuff of cozy-fantasy dreams.
