A witch with a sassy owl familiar? A mystery to solve and a found family? This book was wonderful from start to finish I loved Evelyn. She’s a smart, resourceful witch with morals who refuses to do the bidding of a corrupt king. Set off to solve the mystery of a blight plaguing nearby lands. When she arrives she finds people who need her help a hottie merchant and some shifty healer. A cozy relaxing read with a pinch of mystery and a little romance. Perfect for a fall days read!
