Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
3.5
This book had been so hyped up by everybody that I really wanted to read it and even though I liked it, I was a bit underwhelmed.
The story made me go on a rollercoaster of emotions. I got mad many times, picturing what women had to go through back then and unfortunately still go through today. I was sad many times as well but there were also happy moments.
There were a few instances that I felt were a bit cliché and that was a bit disappointing. It seemed like when things went wrong, they went VERY wrong and then the ending was just a typical happy ending that ties loose ends and reveals that the theories we had throughout the book turned out to be true.
Overall, I liked it, but I was expecting more but I know that's 100% my fault.
