Hani and Ishu's Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar
4.0
This was such a lovely book!
I loved all of the infos we got on Bengali and Muslim culture and I would have loved even more of those.
Humaira and Ishita are very fleshed out and I found both of their characters to be refreshing to read about. The sisterly relationship between Ishita and Nik was one of my fave things about the whole book, because it took such an unexpected turn and I also loved the support Humaira got from her parents from being a bisexual muslim!
The only thing that bugged me was the very recipe-like formula of the fake dating plotline. I have never read a book with the fake dating trope in it, but I could already tell from the beginning in which way everything would go and I was right. A few surprises would have been nice, but perhaps I'm a little harsh in that regard.
All in all this was a great read, I literally flew trough this, and I can recommend this to everyone!
