Cress by Marissa Meyer

5.0

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, believe me, I would.

Marissa Meyer had worked on her writing so well since book one and the series has gone through a very fantastic development. Truly I've heard amazing things before reading Cinder but Cress, is by far the best of all the books in the series, so far.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the relationship between Thorne and Cress. We were introduced to Thorne in book two and he was this womanizer asshole who got nothing good in him. While Cress, who had been trapped inside a satellite for most of her life is this innocent, pure, painfully shy girl. I feel there's an attraction between Cress and Thorne and SO FAR THIS SHIP IS THE ONLY SHIP THAT IS YET TO SAIL.

We clearly see the clear attraction between Cinder and Kai in book one. We also see Scarlet and Wolf in book two. BUT THIS ONE. I know they're attracted to each other I KNOW. But Thorne, oh my god Thorne. He believes Cress deserves a better guy than him and if this is not sweet enough for you, I don't know anymore. I strongly believe that they will work on their attraction toward each other in book four and they MUST.

Lunar Chronicles is one of the very few series that stays close to my heart. The series is not a big one, it only has four books. But the knowledge that after reading Winter, everything's going to be over makes me so sad like really sad. The characters are very lovable and easy to relate with. The series has the power to make you love the characters after each books and I admire that about Marissa Meyer.

Also, the similarities of the books ever since Cinder until Cress, to the original source of material can be clearly seen throughout the books and its very amazing for the author to be able to weave important points from the original tales to this one epic story involving Lunars and all. Its a talent. I don't know how someone could pull off something like this. Like does the idea for this epic action packed story just popped up on your mind? Really?

I really don't want this series to be over. I love all the characters, they're easy to relate with and understand but I expect Winter to be more mind-blowing that this one so that these babies of mine can end their stories in the most beautiful way imaginable.
