Set in 1666 - Abitha is struggling to survive living with her husband in a Puritan settlement in Connecticut. It follows the horrific experiences and decisions she must make.

Creepy and atmospheric, this is a bizarre cross of historical fiction and horror.

The dual narratives didn't always compliment each other, and I found the narrative following Samson to be a bit slow and lacking. The pacing was probably my least favourite part of this, until the last 20% of the story.

“If it is a witch they want,” she hissed, “then a witch they shall have.”

I was so glad to get to the creeping witch hysteria, and the absolute chaos that followed.
