Every so often a book comes around that inspires you as much as it breaks you. That draws you into the sweetness of triumph as easily as it plunges you into the depths of sorrow.

I recommened you go into this one blind because honestly? Nothing will prepare you for the journey you're going to take anyway ๐Ÿ˜‚
This story is filled with longing and heartache and sadness and rage. The FMC is in her 30s and ya'll, her ass is tired. The MMC is an immortal fey king who is also tired. The world is torn in 2, nothing is at it seems and yet at its heart, BTAD asks you to look deeper.

So many times while reading this, I found myself questioning what was real and what wasn't. It was easy to get consumed by the story and the cycle of love and loss our characters go through.

I will be impatiently waiting for book 2 while staring at a blank wall.
