Ghostwritten by David Mitchell

2.0

Ghostwritten is a mere shadow of Cloud Atlas. It feels more like a practice round for Mitchell which, in a way, I am glad for, considering how it eventually led to Cloud Atlas, a book that shares most of the same themes. The difference, however, is that Cloud Atlas does so with much more finesse. Here, it's a series of loosely connected stories with a vague theme thrown into the mix. Like a drop of ink in the sea, it's hard to notice the colour once it dissipates. Read Cloud Atlas instead and give this a miss.
