This was a fun reread of a book I enjoyed as a tween. It is a little bit dated compared to contemporary YA novels (there isn't any diversity at all, and it was written before mobile phones were common). There are also at least two occasions where abelist slurs used, and the MC's best friend is bullied for her religion/religious clothing) so just be aware of that.
Moderate: Bullying and Religious bigotry
Minor: Ableism
