I really enjoyed this book! I was hesitant about trying to get into this series because I thought it'd just be another teen vampire book. I was wrong! Yes, it's about teens and vampires, but it has so many new twists to it. It's very original. I kept in mind that it is the first book in a series. That being said, it's exactly what you'd expect it to be - an introduction. It explains and describes the places, characters, situations, and story lines so well without being a slow read. One thing I really enjoyed is how I never really saw what was coming next. I enjoyed the lack of predictability. I also enjoyed the inner ranting of the narrator and the random HILARIOUS one-liners made by various characters throughout the book. Also, just in case you're wondering, my favorite part of the book [without giving anything away] is the second half of chapter 26. It's so creepy! I cannot wait to read the next book in the series - I can tell I'm really going to love it.
