I enjoyed the first part of the book, and the detail given to all of the characters. But as the book progressed, there was such an overwhelming amount of side-quest thoughts from the main character that the plot was hard to follow. Plus, the main character’s inability to tell the truth at any point got on my nerves. I understand after reading interpretations online that there was a ton of metaphors carefully strewn throughout the story, but it was just not my cup of tea. However, I did appreciate the audiobook and its different voices used to distinguish characters.
