Filthy Sweet by R. Cayden
4.0
Fox and Owen's romance had plenty of steam, but I wasn't a huge fan of the overall storyline. On the one hand, I have to give credit to the author for writing a completely unique spin on a best-friend's-brother romance, it just didn't mesh with my personal tastes. It was fun for me to watch as Owen and Fox fell into a string of not-so-casual hookups, and I was a big fan of how nasty they got in the bedroom. If the rest of the story had the same passion and chemistry as their nights together, I would have been over the moon. Unfortunately, there was something that just felt off about the rest of the journey, and I can't even put my finger on what it was. Owen's work story arc was just okay, and not even Fox's much more high-stakes career instability swayed me. I wasn't thrilled by the way the situation with Reggie played out, and overall I just couldn't get as invested as I wanted to in Owen and Fox's happiness.
