The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes
5.0
The thing that stands out to me the most is how easy and quickly you fall in love with all of the characters. I usually struggle in the beginning to put the investment into reading the book long enough until I like the characters and the setting, but man, Moyes write this setting and the characters so well that you instantly like it. I loved the book even when nothing had really happened yet. I love the characters so much that when I was worried about their fates, I could not stop myself from skimming the end to make sure my heart would not be broken.
This book definitely keeps you reading. I love the drama of it. I also love the themes of friendship and sisterhood. This book reminds me what really matters in life, which is your relationships. You don't have to be anything to everyone, but being everything to someone is all that matters.
