This is a really well written book, but it's suuuuupppper depressing. I didn't know anything about it going in, and it was just really emotionally hard to get through.

I kept reading it because I just wanted to know that the tragedy and pain would be over, and the characters would end up somewhere better. Which seems like a silly reason to read a book. But there you go.

I can't say I'd really recommend anyone else read this, because it's just really heavy and heartbreaking. But having made it through to the other side, it really does have good lessons, and a good ending, so I'm satisfied.
