Daisy Haites by Jessa Hastings

5.0

‘i'm shaking my head as i stare over at her, feeling sick that i love her how i love her and that i've hurt her how i've hurt her’

eek this book was everything i wanted and more!! i’m so obsessed with daisy haites, its unnatural!!

the characters in this book were more likeable than they were in magnolia parks which was refreshing! everyone in daisys’ life truely did care for her which i enjoyed. i loveeed julian in this, the way he was so protective over daisy and really cared for her as a father figure, brother and friend, it really broke my heart what happened between them…..

‘i know what she is to me. in short, everything. in long, still everything.’

i loveed christian and daisy’s relationship! i was so happy that it wasn’t as toxic as bj and magnolia’s cause i would have died!! i still think they need to communicate more but they’re definitely a more mature couple. i loved christian and daisy’s character as individuals and it just made me love them more as a couple! they’re literally my roman empire and kind of remind me of the joker and harley quinn (in a less toxic way and a more ‘god help anyone who disrespected the queen’ type of way) like they’re such a power couple ahh.

‘i loved him in a way i didn't know i knew how to love someone. loving him has made me sure i'll never love anyone the same way again.’

the people that daisy surrounded herself with were literally the best! they all cared for her and loved her, always wanting what was best for her but also listened to what she wanted. i think christian hanging out with julian and his friends really showed his maturity in some ways and i hope he continues to hangout with them rather than with bj and the others because they’re so toxic and not really good friends. we learn more about christian and where magnolia stands in his life and i’m so happy he did what he did because it was a long time coming!

jessa’s writing was literally the best! the books are written in a way were you feel like you’re not only watching a movie but actually part of the experience and thoughts of the characters. i read this book so fast it’s honestly so insane. i’m dying for more!!
