A combination a fairytale and Aesop Fable, but with a twist. It's a very short story, so there's not much that can be said of it without spoiling the entire thing, but it is a meditation on how time smooths out your rough edges like the river on a rocky bank. Someone who was previously selfish can become the pillar of a community, reconciliation is possible. And the willingness to act when the time calls for it remains one of the most important things.
