I couldn't put this book down. So nervous for Lydia and her son Luca at every point. Not knowing who to trust in their quest to go to 'el norte' and to be free of the violence and sadness they have left behind. Along the way they befriend sisters fleeing Guatamala. The controversy about this being written no a non-latisav hge
