Ten influencers set out to be on a remote island with no phones for the filming of a reality TV show. Suddenly, something tragic happens and it quickly becomes a very dangerous and deadly game. This book makes me never want to allow my children to have social media ever! This was a terrifying look into the influencer and content creator life, and how it can turn deadly. While this is obviously an over exaggeration of influencer culture, it does feel maybe just a hint too real. That being said, I feel as though I am slightly older than the target audience, as I don't even have a TikTok and have a private Instagram. I found this story to be an easy to read thriller. In fact, I flew through this one in a day. It was an interesting look at how far people will go to maintain their status in society, and what too much "fame" can do to a person. Definitely an interesting read, not the best thriller I've read this year, but I do look toward reading more from this author.
