Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb

5.0

This is my first Robin Hobb book and it was excellent! I really enjoyed the MC's ability to sense other people and animals. My favorite part of the book was his connection with the dog. It made me so sad when they were disconnected, even though I completely understood the reasons. I thought the writing was descriptive and flowed well. The pacing was perfect for this type of story (some might consider it slow, but it works for epic fantasy). It has been so long since I have taken the time to read an epic fantasy book, it's my favorite genre but they are always so long so I end up avoiding them. Highly recommend this one for anyone that likes the genre or is interested in giving it a try.
