The Duke in Disguise by Gayle Callen

4.0

Meriel has taken a position as governess to a Duke's son(Stephen) and has come to really care for him when the Duke suddenly returns home after an illness. Cecil/Richard has come home to "recover" his health, but what's really happening is one brother is impersonating the other in order to protect Stephen from an unscrupulous uncle in case his father doesn't manage to recover from his illness.
Meriel is confused from the start because she wasn't attracted to the Duke when he hired her but she's having a hard time resisting him now. Richard really doesn't want to emulate some of Cecil's less savory traits but finds himself instantly attracted to the governess.
This was a more twisty tale than book 1 was and it was fun to follow along and watch the MC's try to resist each other and how Stephen's relationships with both blossomed.
